Homemade Gram Lentils Flour :
- To make Besan(Gram Lentil Flour) at home you just need Gram Lentils(Chana Dal).
- Roast them in a pan at slow gas and then let it cool completely.
- Now grind it to make a smooth powder and if you want you can sieve it to make fine powder.
- And you can use this powder as a cover over Patra.
Preparations to make Gluten Free Patra
1.Take Colocasia leaves and wash them properly.and dry them with a clean towel.
Then take out hard stem like part in between a leave and cut them in two parts as shown in pictures.
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
For Tadka
1/2 tsp Sesame seeds
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
Pinch of asatofetida
5-6 Curry Leaves
4 tsp Oil
Process
1.Take Colocasia leaves and wash them properly.and dry them with a clean towel.
Then take out hard stem like part in between a leave and cut them in two parts as shown in pictures.
2.Now take all ingridents like Besan,Red chilli powder,Turmeric powder,coriender powder,cumin powder,salt,sugar,lemon juice,garam masala in a bowl.
Add water to it and make a thick batter.
3.Now apply batter to leaves one by one and make a roll out of them as shown in picture.
4.Now steam all rolls four 1/2 hour.
5.Let it cool first then make small peace of all rolls.
6.Now take a pan and heat oil.add sesame seeds ,curry leaves ,mustard seed, Asafoetida and saute them a while and add all peaces of Patra to it.add salt ,sugar and lemon juice according to your taste.
7.Garnish with Coriander leaves if you want.
Your Gluten Free Patra is ready to eat.
