Hello my glutenfree buddies!!hope you are fine.
okay so today we are going to make murmure k laddo also called Puffed rice k laddo. It is a Gluten free recipe.
You know when I was small like hardly 11 or 12 years old I like to make this laddos for myself.I like to eat it very much and also to make it also.so may be you have a question that
What is murmure made up of????
Murmure or Puffed rice is a types of puffed grain made from rice commonly eaten in the traditional cuisines of Southeast Asia, East Asia, and South Asia. It has also been produced commercially in the West since 1904 and is popular in breakfast cereals and other snack foods.
I know a long list of recipes like chivada,Bhel,Chikki can be made from this murmure and all are so much delicious that I can't tell you.
What are the health benefit of murmure?
- As It was puffed rice and made up of rice its very easy to digest
- It's a great combination of high fibre, protein and complex carbs.
- Puffed Rice is low in calories and enriched with extra vitamins and minerals.
- For diabetics, consume in small amounts. Puffed rice is mixed with fibre-rich sprouts and fruits to satisfy for your craving for chaat recipes.
Some oil is added to raw rice.and mixed well.the row rice then added to very hot sand in a kadhai and allowed to sputter. In less then a minute the rice transforms to white flakes.A sieving and murmure is ready. You can make them home if you have row rice with you.
Okay so here is very much deep digging into murmure history.now lets make Laddoos from it.
For Laddoos we need natural jaggery and murmure.Just two ingredients we need.you can also take the other form of jaggery. But natural jaggery are chemical free so better to use it.
What is Natural Jaggery ??
Jaggery is made from unrefined sugar, and is obtained by boiling raw, concentrated sugar cane juice till it solidifies.Jaggery acts as a natural sweetener and provides energy over an extended period of time.
Presence of crystals indicates that the jaggery may have gone through other processes to make it sweeter. The colour of the jaggery also plays an important role in identifying purity. Ideally the colour of the jaggery should be dark brown. The yellowish colour in gur may indicate chemical treatment so thats not natural form.
Lets start the recipe.
Preprations:
- First we need to sieve the murmure because sometimes there may be some sand left in it.
- We need a big vessel of metal.we can use any vessel but should be big enough to incorporate the whole murmure.
Ingredients :
Process :
3.Now switch off the flame and take some oil on hand and make laddoos from it.Be careful this mixture will be extremely hot.You can use water instead of oil.so murmure Laddoos will not stick to your hands.
So we have our nicely round shape Murmure or Puffed Rice Laddoos.
Do try at yourself and comment me your suggestion or difficulties.
Have a nice day!!!!
